Opel’s Vice President of Design Mark Adams gave his team the briefing: “show me the most emotional side of Opel’s new design language, ‘sculptural artistry meets German precision’.” What they created, the Opel Opel GTC Paris concept concept car, will be shown for the first time at the Mondial de l’Automobile 2010 (October 2 – 17). Coming close on the heels of the new generation Astra Sports Tourer, which will also debut at the Paris motor show, the Opel GTC Paris concept is the next bold step of a newly shaped Opel line-up.

There is no shortage of world firsts for Chevrolet at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show, and joining the Orlando MPV and Cruze hatchback show car will be the eagerly awaited 2012 Chevrolet Aveo 5-door, which like the Orlando makes its world production debut. The Aveo RS show car was displayed at the Detroit and Geneva motor shows earlier in 2010, and with the final production-ready model, Chevrolet has a car that looks every bit as good as the earlier concept.

Peugeot iOn will be revealed at this year's Paris Motor Show. Build to be a real competitor for Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Citroen C-Zero, this model is 100% powered by electricity, but it's autonomy is higher - 150 km. Peugeot iOn is priced at 29.950 euro, with 5.500 less than the C-Zero. Peugeot offers 5 years warranty for the battery pack and power train. The speed of 50 km/h is reached in 5.9 seconds, while the speed of 100 km/h in 15.9 seconds. The engine generates 64 horse power and 180 Nm of torque.
