The Kuwait Concours d’Elegance, in its third successive year, is the only event of its type in the Middle East and plays host to some of the world’s finest automotive art from over 19 countries. Having gone from strength to strength in the past two years, this event has become the earliest of its type in what is considered by car connoisseurs as ‘the season’. At the heart of such an established and important market for Aston Martin, the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance this year is supported by Premier International Motors Group, Aston Martin’s dealer partner in Kuwait.

Aston Martin plans to unveil the new V12 Zagato in Italy, at the "Villa D'Este Concours" on 21th May 2011. Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin : "The Zagato design language is a perfect complement to our design and engineering expertise. After 50 years of the two companies being associated with each other the partnership has produced some of the world’s most iconic cars. Of course, fifty years ago Italian design houses were widely seen as leading the way with new designs but now and supported by our independency, Aston Martin has its own in-house design ability so this new venture with Zagato is more collaborative than it perhaps would have been in the past. The task for us has been to create a concept that is a natural successor to those iconic cars that have gone before. Matching the technology of the age with the traditional skills vital to deliver such a bespoke and exclusive sports car will lead to a strictly limited run of road going V12 Zagatos."

The new Virage comes equipped with a V12 6.0 L engine that generates 490 horse power and 570 Nm of torque. The gearbox attached to the engine is a 6-speed TouchTronic II automatic and it is mounted on transaxle, this way contributing to a perfect 50/50 weight balance. New Aston Martin Virage provides optimum road holding, thanks to the ADS (Adaptive Damping System) - a system that reads the road. A "Sport" button has been added, allowing the driver to select a sharper throttle response and a faster gear changes. The brakes in the new Virage are made from CCM (Carbon Ceramic Matrix). The CCM help to reduce the weight of the car and specially at each wheel, creating a better balance between ride comfort and handling.
