The next generation of Audi A6 Avant has been launched in Europe. The customers can choose from 6 engines, 2 gasoline and 4 diesels. Compared to the previous version, the 2011 Audi A6 Avant is 18% more fuel efficient, the 2.0 TDI consuming only 5 L of fuel per 100 km. The top of the line is represented by the new 3.0 TDI engine, available in 3 variants : generating 204 hp, 245 hp and 313 hp. The speed of 100 km/h is reached in 5.4 secs and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Depending on the engine, a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed S tronic and 8-speed tiptronic will be coupled.

The upgrade package consists in a Eaton/Magnusson TVS engine, independent charge cooler system, STaSIS ECU remap, Alcon 390mm brakes at the front and 355 mm at the rear and 9.5x20" ultra-lightweight forged aluminium at front and 12x20" at the rear. STaSIS Challenge Extreme Edition boost a 28% power increase, taking the R8 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.

Audi is set to unveil a stunning technical study – the A3 e-tron concept – in Shanghai. The four-seat notchback saloon integrates the full breadth of the brand’s technological expertise – from the enhanced MMI operating system, to the high-end infotainment system, to the drivetrain. And with its two powerplants and lithium-ion batteries that store enough energy to propel the car on electric power alone for up to 54 km (34 miles), the plug-in hybrid also delivers high fuel efficiency.

The official debut of the new Audi Q3 will take place at this year's edition of Shanghai Motor Show. Based on the PQ35 platform, the new Audi Q3 measures 4.39 M long, 1.83 wide and 1.6 M high. The engines used in the new Q3 come the direct injection with turbocharging, delivering powers between 140 horse power and 211 horse power. The basic version, the Q3 2.0 TDI which is scheduled to be released later generates 140 horse power and will need only 5.2 L of fuel per 100 km. Audi released some new details regarding the e-tron concept. Equipped with an electric engine capable to generate 134 HP and 270 Nm of torque and a 26.5 kWh battery, the Audi A3 e-tron concept can run 140 km using a single full charge. A full charging time can take up to 9 hr using a normal socket.
