Australia gets the new 2010 Audi A8

2010 Audi A8Official information of the next generation of Audi A8 was released today by the company. 2010 Audi A8 comes with all-new aluminium body, a revised V8 4.2 L engine and a brand new Multimedia Interface System. The new 2010 Audi A8's engine is coupled to a eight-speed auto transmission. All this changes boasts more power and eats less fuel, the new Audi A8 uses 21% less fuel then it's predecesor. The V8 engine generates 366 horse power and 445 Nm of torque and consumes only 9.4 l/100 km. Inside the 2010 Audi A8, customers will find the MultiMedia Interface System with touch screen recognition, the interface allowing the driver to draw numbers, letters and characters and the system will automatically recognise the commands.

 

Among these, 2010 Audi A8 comes with features like night vision display that highlights pedestrians and other moving object in low-light areas, Start&Stop system. The Start&Stop system switches the engine off when the car is stationary. Uwe Hagen, Managing Director Audi Australia said : "The all new Audi A8 is the most-important model we will launch in 2010 in terms of driving our prestige image upwards thanks to its aspirational value, unparalleled quality and excellent level of specification."

2010 Audi A8 will have it's Australian debut in September 2010. The debut model will be equipped with a 4.2 L engine, priced at 225.904$. After that, a V6 3.0 L engine variant will be released delivering nearly 250 horse power, with a fuel consumption of just 6.6 l/100 km. 2011 will bring another engine, the V8 4.2 L turbo-diesel.
