BMW Vision EfficientDynamics heading to production in 2013

BMW Vision EfficientDynamicsBMW officials just announced that BMW Vision EfficientDynamics will go into production in a couple of years. The breathtaking turbo diesel was unveiled at Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009. According to InsideLine.com, has not been confirmed if the car will keep the actual turbo-diesel engine and an electric lithium ion motor.

BMW's Vision EfficientDynamics engine was capable to produce 356 horse power with a max torque of 590 lb-ft that could take this concept to 100 km/h in just 4.8 sec. Also, the production version will be a bit heavier than the concept, less fuel efficient and it might have a design not as much futuristic as the concept.
