Australia gets the new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible
Unveiled this week at Los Angeles Auto Show, 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible could be in Australia within 6 months. According to American vehicle importer, Performax International, 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible will be offered with a V8 engine generating 318 kW (426 horse power), coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission is also available, coupled to a V8 engine with a power output of "just" 402 horse power.
On the features list, customers can find : Pirelli P Zero tyres, Brembo high-performance brakes, 20" alloys, leather seats and a Boston Acoustic audio system.
Glenn Soper, Performax International General Manager :
"As Performax International produced what we believe was the world’s first right-hand drive Camaro coupe and has built many examples since for Australian customers, we expect this will be a straightforward process without undue delay. The last Camaro convertible was launched in 1994, so not surprisingly there’s very strong buyer interest in this new model – even more so because it’s such a beautiful looking car."
