Chevrolet Volt | Japan Debut

Chevrolet VoltThe annual Spring Congress of the Japan Society of Automotive Engineers opened today with the debut of Chevrolet Volt. This take part from a 3-day event, expected to attract up to 70.000 visitors. GM Japan Managing Director Sumito Ishii : "This is a great opportunity for General Motors to highlight our advanced technology leadership in front of the tech-savvy community in Japan. It will also contribute to awareness of the Chevrolet brand in one of the world's largest vehicle markets."

Chevrolet Volt can be drived up to 80 km using only the electric power stored in a 16 kW lithium-ion battery. In 2010, United States started to receive the 1st units of Chevrolet Volt, now, Chevrolet is expanding in additional markets, including Europe and China.
