Ford Start conceptFord Start concept was unveiled today at Beijing. Powered by a 1.0 L 3-cylinder engine, Ford officials state that the Start concept is not just a design study, being a vehicle destined for urban use offering a power of a large one. The Ford Start Concept uses a turbocharging and spark-ignited, direct-injection fuel management system and has CO2 emissions below the 100 g/km level.

 

 

 

The engine of the Ford Start Concept is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. The Ford Start Concept features MyFord Mobile concept technology connectivity that restricts certain functions, such as texting, while driving. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning, engine diagnostics and passenger airbag on/off function of the Ford Start Concept can be adjusted while driving through voice activation..

The Ford Start Concept features lightweight composite body panels on an aluminum structure with a hybrid aluminum, high-strength steel body construction which includes a lightweight aluminum safety cell.
