2011 Frankfurt Motor Show - New-generation Hyundai i30

New Hyundai i30At the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA), Hyundai has unveiled its new-generation i30, a vehicle the company expects will build on the success of the original model thanks to enhanced design, quality, performance and efficiency. Designed and engineered at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the new-generation i30 represents a further evolution of the unique Hyundai form language, ‘fluidic sculpture’ – the company’s distinctive design DNA – and offers a choice of four engines with a total of six power options and CO2 emissions below 100 g/km thanks to an upgraded, super-efficient 1.6-litre diesel unit. The new-generation i30 will go on sale in Europe early in 2012 as a five-door hatchback.  The newcomer will be produced in Europe at the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Nošovice, Czech Republic.

All new Hyundai i30 1st renderingHyundai has released the first rendering of the next-generation i30, revealing an exciting new look for the company’s bestselling C-segment hatchback. It will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) in September. The all-new i30 was designed and engineered at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and represents the next evolution of the unique form language, ‘fluidic sculpture’ – the company’s distinctive design DNA. The ‘fluidic sculpture’ ethos utilises flowing lines inspired by nature and modern architecture to give a constant three-dimensional presence to Hyundai vehicles, and was introduced as the Hyundai ix-onic concept at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.  Since this debut, ‘fluidic sculpture’ has become the design language behind all new Hyundai models launched in Europe.

Hyundai i40 TourerAvailable in 3 trim levels, the new Hyundai i40 Tourer's price tag will start from 18.395 GBP. Hyundai i40 Tourer Active will be equipped with a 1.7 L engine, Style with a 1.6 and Premium with the 2.0 L petrol. As standard, the Blue Drive Technologies incorporates the Stop/Start in the Active. On the features list we find 16" alloys, BlueTooth connectivity, leather steering wheel with audio controls and electric parking brake, touch screen satellite navigation with rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control and dual zone climate control are standard on the mid-point "Style" range, while the "Premium" models gets leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry.

 

Korea gets the new Genesis Prada Special Edition

The special edition is based on the 2012 Genesis and features a 5.0 L GDi engine. Hyundai Genesis Prada combines the quality and the innovation, attention to details of Prada with the Hyundai's technologies. It took 2 years to perfect the model, after unveiling at the 2009 Seoul Motor Show. This is the first time a production model is being introduced to the market.

Hyundai Blue2 ConceptHyundai Motor Company, South Korea's largest automaker, showcased its latest `new thinking' on products, technologies and services to the world at the 2011 Seoul Motor Show, which opened today under the theme of 'Evolution, Green Revolution on Wheels.' Hyundai unveiled its latest eco-friendly creation, the Blue2 (Read as "Blue square") concept vehicle, the company's first sedan-style Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) powered by hydrogen. The automaker also introduced its first gasoline-hybrid vehicle, the Sonata Hybrid, to its home market. Most importantly, Hyundai applied its new brand direction, "New Thinking. New Possibilities.", throughout its exhibition, including its customer-oriented booth design, entertaining displays and cutting edge future technologies.
