 After Jaguar received the "Executive Car of the Year" award, the company launched 2 brand new models, the "SE Business" and "Sport". Paul Barker, Editor of BusinessCar said :

 The new Jaguar XF is set to go on sale equipped with a brand new 163 horse power 2.2 L 4-cylinder diesel engine. Based on the existing 190 HP model, the new 2.2 L engine costs from 29.950 GBP OTR. Besides the price, XF 2.2D offers outstanding equipment including leather seats, screen-touch mounted display and electronic climate control.

 Equipped with a 2.1 L 4-cylinder engine, the new Jaguar XF is the best fuel efficient Jaguar yet produced. To prove it, an independent tester, David Madgwick, drive the XF through 4 countries. The XF had consumed only 64 L of fuel on a distance of 1313 km. Andy Whyman, Chief Programme Engineer for the Jaguar XF : "The entire development team is very proud of what the new XF 2.2 has achieved – this not only proves the efficiency of the new model but underlines that performance and economy can be combined."

 The restyled version of the XF is powered by a 2.2 L 4-cylinder engine delivering 190 horse power and 450 Nm of torque. The engine features the Start&Stop system and it is coupled to a 8-speed ZF auto gearbox. As an option, the V8 engine gets new infotainment system and adaptive cruise control. In terms of design, the restyled XF has a new slightly modified bumper, new bonnet and spoiler. There's also a new headlight design and the rear light has been modified to create one unit across the rear, united by the chrome trim.
