The new Jaguar XF - The most efficient Jaguar ever produced
Equipped with a 2.1 L 4-cylinder engine, the new Jaguar XF is the best fuel efficient Jaguar yet produced. To prove it, an independent tester, David Madgwick, drive the XF through 4 countries. The XF had consumed only 64 L of fuel on a distance of 1313 km. Andy Whyman, Chief Programme Engineer for the Jaguar XF : "The entire development team is very proud of what the new XF 2.2 has achieved – this not only proves the efficiency of the new model but underlines that performance and economy can be combined."
To reach the 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, the new Jaguar XF's engine develops 190 horse power and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. With all this power, XF can reach a top speed of 250 km/h. The XF emits only 149 g/km of CO2. Coupled to a 8-speed auto transmission and equipped with the Start/Stop system, marks the 1st time when such a device has been install in a Jaguar.
The new Jaguar XF 2.2 will be launched in September 2011, taking part as a 2012 model.
