Mercedes-Benz released the GL-Class "Grand Edition", a special edition equipped with 275/50 R 20 tyres, high-quality 2-tone leather seats and wood trim in black ash, dark-tinted headlamps, a radiator grille with black, high-gloss louvres and a redesigned front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lamps. The interior accomodates 7 occupants, ofering comfort and exceptional level of spaciousness, headrests for the driver and front passengers, ambient lighting, roof liner in black designo fabric, velour floor mats with "Grand Edition" lettering (also on the centre console), sport pedals and door sill panels in stainless steel.

The V6 diesel engine installed in the GL 350 BLueTEC 4MATIC delivers 211 horse power and a max torque of 540 Nm. In terms of fuel consumption, the engine needs only 9 L of fuel per 100 km. The GL 350 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY's engine generates 265 HP and 620 Nm of torque and consumes 8.9 L / 100 km.

If you need extra power, a V8 5.5 L engine is available in the GL 500, generating 388 HP, 520 Nm of torque and it reach the speed of 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. On the Mercedes-Benz GL 450, the 4.6 V8 engine outputs 340 hp and generates a max torque of 460 Nm of torque. The speed of 100 km/h is reached in 7.2 secs.

As standard , Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Grand Edition comes equipped with the AIRMATIC air suspension, Direct-Steer system and Adaptive Damping System ADS, off-road ABS, Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR) and Hill-Start Assist.
