Nissan Juke-R - Shakedown and testing

The moment has finally come for Juke-R to hit the track! With the build complete, engineers take Juke-R to MIRA proving ground to check all systems work correctly before heading to Silverstone to push the car's limits. It looks like a Juke but sounds like a GT-R, and performs like one on its first circuit tests. The build video series is now complete, but there is still much more to come from Juke-R.

2012 Nissan Maxima2012 Nissan Maxima now will sell for only 37.880$, with 1.920$ less than the 2011 version. 2012 Nissan Maxima Sport's MSRP is also less with 1.620$ than the outgoing model. 2012 Nissan Maxima features a redesigned grille, taillamps and features a brand new exterior color, Meteorite Brown. The cabin received a minor facelift as well, boasting a new instrument backlighting colour (white), black or wood trim and a tan interior.

 

Nissan LEAF | Belgium Price

Nissan LeafNissan LEAF will be sold in Belgium at 36.990 euros including VAT, but with gov subsidies and incentives, the price can be low as 27.800 euros. This way, Nissan LEAF will have a price about the same as a diesel of hybrid car, but with low running costs. In Belgium, the running costs are estimated at less than 1.5 euros per 100 km. The battery price is included, VAT and 5-year or 100.000 km warranty, 5-year subscription to unique telematic service and EV specific roadside assistance also.

 

Nissan Leaf at 89th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Nissan LeafOn June 26, a 100% electric Nissan LEAF will compete in the 89th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with veteran Nissan off-road truck racing champion Chad Hord behind the wheel. The Nissan LEAF will compete in the Production Class for electric vehicles and, other than the removal of some interior parts like seats and carpets to make room for safety equipment, such as a roll cage, racing seats and safety harnesses, the LEAF will be very close to the way it left the factory.

 

Lower Prices for the Nissan Leaf in UK starting 2013

Nissan LeafIn March, Nissan increased the price of the LEAF with nearly 3.269$. This was due to the costs of the materials. Now, the company hopes to lower the price below the 39.230$ mark until year 2013. The reason ? Nissan's Chief Vice President of Global Marketing Communications, Simon Sproule : "Building the cars and batteries in Sunderland will bring prices down significantly because of the inherent savings – certainly below the original launch price."
