All signs point to a big future for the small up!. In Germany, the two-door city specialist immediately garnered first place in its class in registration statistics. Now Volkswagen is raising the bar by presenting the four-door version of the up!. In May, the latest member of the New Small Family – Volkswagen’s internal name for the model series – will arrive at dealers; advanced sales begin on the 6th of March (both dates for Germany). The four-door car will have launched on the entire European market by early summer.

Only a few days after announcing UK pricing and specification for its New Twingo, Renault has just released the same details for its Scénic 2012 range, as part of its revised model line-up from 1st February. Prices for the newly facelifted versions of Europe’s number one compact MPV start from £18,325 on-the-road for Scénic and £19,725 for Grand Scénic. The new Renault Scénic and Grand Scénic models for 2012 are sharper in design, more economical and boast a number of equipment enhancements. Renault has confirmed UK pricing and specification for its New Twingo, which launches in Feburary 2012, costing £10,350 on-the-road in Dynamique 1.2 16V 75 guise. Boasting improved styling, with a cheekier front end and the new Renault design identity, plus revised bumper, tailgate and new rear lights, the French brand’s latest model is sure to continue the characterful city car’s enduring success. To make the car even more appealing, all New Twingos are eligible for the Renault 4+ programme worth £900, which launches on 1st February 2012.
