The new <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S will be unveiled at this year's Geneva Auto Show in March. Powered by a six-cylinder boxer, the engine fitted 2 exhaust gas<strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>-chargers with variable turbine geometry. With 30 horse-power over the standard version, the new <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S's engine outputs a total of 530 horse-power and 516 lb-ft. Now, you can reach 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h.
The <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S comes with the PTM (<strong class="keyword">Porschestrong> Traction Management) AWD, Dynamic Bending Lights, PCCB (<strong class="keyword">Porschestrong> Ceramic Composite Brakes) and Sport Chrono Package.
If you have the wallet to buy one of these, learn that will become available in dealer showrooms this May in both Coupe and Cabriolet, and the price will start from 145.400 EUR for the Coupe and 154.900 EUR for the Cabrio.
The engineers at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong> AG, Stuttgart, have developed a new top-of-the-range sports car for the customer who will only settle for the very best in terms of power, performance and driving dynamics: the <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S. The heart of this most exclusive high-performance athlete is of course a six-cylinder boxer boosted by two exhaust gas<strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>chargers with variable turbine geometry, with an increase in power over the <strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong> by 30 to 530 bhp (390 kW). Maximum torque is a most impressive 700 Newton-meters (516 lb-ft). At the same time this new top model comes asstandard with all high-tech components available only as options on the “regular” <strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>.
Despite itssignificant increase in power and dynamic performance, the new <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S, at 11.4 litres/100 kilometers (equal to 24.8 mpg imp), does not consume any more fuel than the <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>, making it by far the most efficient sports car in its performance class.
The <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S comes exclusively with seven-speed <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong>-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) (<strong class="keyword">Porschestrong>’s Double-Clutch Gearbox) conveying drive power to <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong> Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive. Driving safety optimized to an even higher standard is ensured by Dynamic Engine Mounts and <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong> Torque Vectoring (PTV) including a mechanical differential lock on the rear axle. In conjunction with Launch Control on the Sport Chrono Package <strong class="keyword">Turbostrong> likewise featured asstandard, <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds
Top speed is 315 km/h or 195 mph. Extra-light and fading-resistant <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong> Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) provide the same outstanding performance in terms of stopping power and controlled application of the brakes.
The supreme level of standard equipment including Dynamic Bending Lights, 19-inch wheels in RSSpyder design with central locking, a three-spoke sportssteering wheel with gearshift paddles, adaptive sportsseats, cruise control, a CD/DVD changer and exclusive twin-tone leather upholstery in Black/Crema or Black/Titanium Blue additionally underlines the outstanding class and caliber of this first <strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S in five years.
The new <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S will be at the dealership as both a Coupe and Cabriolet as of May 2010. The German market price of the <strong class="keyword">Porschestrong><strong class="keyword">911strong><strong class="keyword">Turbostrong>S Coupe is Euro 173,241 including 19 per cent value-added tax and local equipment in the market (the Euro base price is Euro 145,400). The Cabriolet retails in the German market at Euro 184.546, again including 19 per cent VAT and local equipment/specifications (base price Euro 154,900).
