 Skoda will present the new Citigo subcompact to the public as a 5-door version for the first time at the Geneva Auto Salon in early 2012. Media representatives will be offered a preview of the new Skoda including test drives in February 2012. The five-door version will be successively launched in European markets together with the three-door version from mid-May 2012. The new Skoda Citigo represents Skoda’s entry into the fast growing subcompact segment. The new model was successfully introduced in Skoda’s home market, the Czech Republic, in late 2011. From this year, the new Skoda Citigo is to conquer new customer groups for Skoda, thus contributing to the brand’s growth strategy. Skoda aims to increase its worldwide deliveries to a minimum of 1.5 million units a year by 2018. In 2011, the company achieved yet another sales record in its 117-year corporate history, selling 879,200 units.

SKODA is continuing its growth offensive by introducing its sixth production model. Citigo is the name of SKODA's exciting new city car. The brand's new model will make its debut in its domestic market, the Czech Republic, before the end of this year, with the UK and other European countries following at the beginning of summer 2012. Offering impressive amounts of space and four seats, the Citigo will be launched in three-door and five-door versions.

 This "L concept" is created ahead of a new "C" segment from Skoda, which will be available in markets like EU, China and Russia, as a part of Skoda's plans to expand.  This year’s GTI-Treffen in Reifnitz, by Lake Worthersee, is set to attract tuning fans from all over Europe for the thirtieth time at the beginning of June, and Skoda will once again be in the thick of the action, showcasing the Fabia vRS 2000 design concept prepared especially for this anniversary meeting, the rally Fabia Super 2000, the sporty Fabia vRS and the all-action Fabia Monte Carlo. Besides the latest innovations in its sports models, Skoda will be offering a packed programme of entertainment.
