The 1st images of the 3rd generation of Suzuki Swift will go on sale in 3-door and 5-door version in United Kindom starting this Autumn. Placed as Suzuki's latest world strategic model, the new Suzuki Swift has made some major developments in styling, impact safety, driving performance, handling, improved fuel consumption and lower CO2 levels. The new Suzuki Swift's interior has a new dynamic feel, featuring black and silver accents of silver.

The lenght increased by 50mm, the new Suzuki Swift now has 3.850mm in lenght, 1.695mm width and 1.510mm height. With a 1.2 L petrol engine that generates 94 horse power, the fuel consumption in combined cycle it now 5 L/100 km for the manual transmission mode - an improvement of 36 L/100 km over the previous 1.3 L unit. As we mentioned above, the CO2 emissions are much lower, the 1.2 L engine with manual transmission produced just 116g/km on the combined cycle - with 17% less then the 1.3. Suzuki planned for 2011 a 1.3 diesel engine, emiting 109g/km and with an outstandint fuel consumption of just 4.2 L/100 km.
